Students for Social Innovation

Students for Social Innovation (SSI) is an online peer-to-peer platform, which supports and promotes social innovation. The group was formed in 2018 to build a bridge between all LASIN and SEASIN, Strategy4Change projects student participants and provide a platform for driven people focusing on innovation, sustainability and social entrepreneurship. SII is moderated by Glasgow Caledonian University as a project lead for the projects and is open to all social innovators to join.

The goal of the Students for Social Innovation group is to facilitate partnerships, friendships, and opportunities for youth in both regions and between regions and thus create a sustainable world for everyone. Our ultimate aim is to see projects and start-ups that will be sustainable – economically, environmentally and socially. We believe innovation and entrepreneurship can solve the most pressing challenges in the world, that youth is the driving force, and in collaboration with a clear purpose– it can all be done.
