From the month of April till June, 2019, UiTM SISU had been very active
in hosting 3D printing workshops. Several series of workshops were conducted
involving 50 participants comprising students, lecturers and technicians. The
workshops had enabled the participants to produce their prototypes in 3D
format. It is interesting to note that none of the participants had any
exposure to 3D printing before. The workshops had indirectly provided them with
a new skill and expertise. They can now pitch their product by bringing the
sample or prototype during their presentations.
The following are the dates when the 3D printing workshops were
conducted:
20 March,
2019 (6 participants)
11 June,
2019 (12 participants)
17 June,

The following are some of the photos taken during the series of workshop.
On June 28-29 at NUM Social Innovation Lab, we were pleased to serve as the venue host for Wedu’s 2-day workshop on “Women’s Leadership Academy for Women in Tech”. Participants who are mostly students also did a tour inside our lab learning about what we do, our 3D printers and experienced our Virtual Reality.
On June 21, NUM iLab organized a study tour at MOO MOO Farms for a group of NUM-IC foundation year students from Social Entrepreneurship Class. It was an exciting field trip as students were able to understand more on social enterprise, see the facility inside the farm, and learn the process of milk pasteurization.
On June 7, Social Innovation Lab organized a study tour for NUM Internationa College Foundation Year students to visit Teach For Cambodia’s office to get a better understanding of what is a social enterprise and how it creates a positive impact on society.
On June 5 at NUM Social Innovation Lab, Wedu delivered a short Information Session to NUM students on educational funding called Future Income Sharing Agreements (FISA).
