Business Model Competition 2019 was held on February 10 at CJCC, with a total of 10 teams including university and high school students. Among those 10 teams, Job-Seekers from Liger Leadership Academy won the Gold Medal & 5K Prize. While the Silver Medal & 2K Prize went to Tos Rean from Paragon (Zaman) University and the Bronze Medal & 1K Prize was awarded to Daily Fresh from NUM International College. The Smart Innovation Award (3 Smart Phones) went to SUBBOX from IFL. These top 3 teams represented Cambodia in the regional Mekong Challenge 2019.

They have created 9 rural projects in Vietnam supported by Honda, VNPT, and the Youth Union. In Myanmar, they started an agricultural start-up that is incubated in Phandeeyar, seed funded by VISA and USAID.

On the 20th of March 2019, UiTM SISU had conducted its very own 3D printing workshop. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Wan Zharfan and Mr. Fariza from NextGen Makers. The workshop had taken place in UiTM SISU office located at UiTM-MTDC Centre, UiTM Shah Alam. A total of 7 participants took part of the workshop which focused on the basics of 3D printing. The workshop centered around the usage of Tinkercad, an online software, as a tool in customizing and developing 3D designs.
On the 16th of March, Cambodia hosted the 13th Mekong Challenge in Phnom Penh capital city. With a total of 11 teams coming from 6 countries, namely Cambodia, Bhutan, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, and Laos. The Gold Medal and Champion’s Cup went to MM Tutors from Myanmar. The Silver Medal was awarded to Happy Walk from Mahidol University Thailand and the Bronze Medal was awarded to Job Seekers from Liger Leadership Academy Cambodia. For MM Tutors, they will now advance to the International Business Model Competition in the U.S.
